Prof. Klesie Kelly is one of the most sought-after singing teachers of our time. The Opera Academy looks back enthusiastically on many years of cooperation with Prof. Kelly and is very pleased that she will again be leading a singing master class at the Sängerburg in 2021. She will devote herself entirely to the art of vocal technique and interpretation. Her many years of stage and teaching experience provide an inexhaustible source for vocal students and professional singers alike.

 

The number of active participants is limited to 12. Everyone gets lessons every day. Interested singers should include a short CV and a current audio sample with their registration. A short recording from the lesson is sufficient. No audition is required of singers who are already known to Prof. Kelly or the Director of the Opera Academy, Denette Whitter. The first 10 qualified participants will be admitted. There is also the possibility of passive participation. A final public concert in the Red Hall of the Castle will conclude the course.

The Opera Academy is pleased to welcome the internationally active conductor Helge Dorsch as a lecturer at the Academy for the second time. The focus is on bel canto and interpretation, with special implementation in the audition repertoire. Each participant should prepare 3-4 arias by heart. The course begins on Thursday evening with a detailed lecture on the golden age of bel canto.

 

His many years of stage and teaching experience provide an inexhaustible source for vocal students and professional singers alike.

 

The number of active participants is limited to 10. Everyone gets lessons every day. Interested singers should include a short CV and a current audio sample with their registration. A short recording from the lesson is sufficient. No audition is required of singers who are already known to Maestro Dorsch or the head of the opera academy, Denette Whitter. The first 10 qualified participants will be admitted. There is also the possibility of passive participation. A final public concert on Sunday at 11:00 am in the Red Hall of the Castle will conclude the course.

Academy director Denette Whitter is again offering the opportunity this year to study a repertoire role as a whole and to perform it in concert.

 

This week the music of "Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor" by Otto Nicolai will be rehearsed. The course is aimed at professional singers/singing students as well as qualified part-time singers. The number of active participants is limited. Everyone receives daily lessons, as well as the opportunity to sing through the entire role as part of the course.

 

Please indicate which role you are applying for. Interested singers should add a short CV and, if available, a current audio sample to their registration form. No audition is required of singers already known to Denette Whitter. The first qualified applicants will be admitted as active participants. There is also the possibility of passive participation. A public final concert shared by all course participants will conclude the course.

The number of active participants is limited. Everyone receives daily lessons, as well as the opportunity to sing through the entire role as part of the course.
